NetworkedBlogs on Facebook

Do you use NetworkedBlogs on Facebook?   If you have a blog and use Facebook you really should be connecting these two social media tools to gain the most exposure for yourself.   All you need to do is follow the steps outlined under the App for NetworkedBlogs and you will be able to display a Blog link on your fan page for readers to click and read your blog.   Your blog posts will appear and the reader can go “read more”.  

You also have the ability to Follow other blogs that interest you.   On the Home page on Facebook there is an icon in the left column NetworkedBlogs you can click and see all the blogs you are following.   From there you can Vote, Share or go Read the full post.

Feature Friday = Facebook Fans

Today I decided to feature some of my Fantastic Facebook Fans!   My fan page is still somewhat new and learning all the functions is an ongoing process.   Anyone can create a fan page on Facebook and many use the page as an extension of their business.   I think my biggest difficulty with the page was and is trying to keep my personal page geared toward family and friends while using the fan page for business.   Another adjustment or learning curve is not treating Facebook like Twitter.   I was tweeting along my merry way … long before I took a serious look at really using Facebook.   I wanted to copy and paste and share everyone’s comments, stories and status updates … but, alas … that’s Twitter, not Facebook.

So as Twitter has #FF (Follow Friday) where users can spotlight their followers all day long by tweeting out their names #FF @RunningGarlic, I decided to Feature some of my Facebook Fans on this Friday!   I randomly picked 10 fans and have posted them in no specific order – just random.

Feature Friday #postaday2011

Today is Feature Friday and I have decided to feature the ambitious folks who have joined me in the newly created Facebook Group for our WordPress Blogging Challenge.

As I started this challenge I was focused on my own areas of interest and narrowed down the topics I will cover on a daily basis.   As I read the blogs of the participants in the FB group, I see totally different areas of interest.   Some are passionate about music, others photography and for others writing is their deep focus.   I find myself caught up in their writings and my mind is exploring beyond my typical everyday thoughts.

Taking on the blogging challenge is helping us step outside our normal day to day world and see life through the eyes of others, share their passions and lend support and encouragement.   As I prepare my blog posts for publishing I am more aware of the people who will be reading my words and find myself anxious to read the works of others.   Tomorrow marks the one week anniversary of our challenge and I have one more topic to cover – Crafts.   I will be addressing yet another interest of mine and another internet culture I am a part of.   In each of my interest topics I have found groups of like-minded people, sites we all visit and forums we all post on. 

I am proud to showcase these fellow bloggers and am truly excited to share in their writings as we head on into the days ahead – each day or week taking a part of ourselves and sharing it with others… a grand challenge and a wonderful opportunity.
